IRENA launches their 2019 Renewable Energy Cost review

More than half of the renewable capacity added in 2019 achieved lower electricity costs than new coal. Solar photovoltaics shows the sharpest cost decline over 2010-2019 at 82%, followed by concentrating solar power (CSP) at 47%, onshore wind at 40% and offshore wind at 29%. Read more here

Tunisia launches call for tender for 500MW

The Tunisian Ministry of Energy has launched a tender for 500 MW of solar photovoltaic power plants. The solar tender is for five projects: 50 MWp in Tozeur, 50 MWp in Sidi Bouzid, 100 MWp in Kairouan, 100 MWp in Gafsa and 200 MWp in Tataouine. Read more here
