Daniel Rich

Chief Executive Officer

With 13 years experience in energy and telecoms, Daniel has spent 10 years in the renewable energy sector developing projects in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Since 2018 Daniel has been CEO of TuNur Ltd and is based in Tunisia. Daniel is responsible for overseeing the company’s diversification into new activities such as participation in the domestic renewable energy market, as well as management of the export projects.

Joseph Zammit

Chairman

Over the last 35 years Joseph has steered the diverse activities of the Zammit Group, one of Malta’s leading organizations, into the automotive sector and maritime industry (with clients such as AGIP, Shell, AMOCO and Marathon, among others).

During the last few years Joseph has further diversified the group’s interests in renewable energy initiatives.

Cherif Ben Khelifa

Director

With 30 years’ experience in various roles in the Energy sector he commenced his career in petroleum engineering with Total, before working for several well-known oil companies such as Shell, Noble Energy, and Lundin.

He successfully contributed to the development, exploitation, as well as decommissioning of several offshore oil fields including in Tunisia. 

Kevin Sara

Director

Kevin has over 30 years’ experience as an investor and entrepreneur. He was responsible for technology principal investments at Nomura, and co-founded Hazel Capital, one of the first cleantech investment managers in London. Kevin founded and is Chairman of Nur Energie a solar development company with landmark projects in Europe.

Kevin is a Venture Partner at Aster Capital where he is developing a thematic fund focused on Sustainable Aviation. Kevin is passionate about the environment and the transition to a sustainable world.

Mike Coombs

Chief Financial Officer

Mike is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (FCMA) with more than 20 years of senior board experience within the utility sector including significant international experience.

Mike was previously Group CFO of Renewable Energy Systems (RES) the world’s largest independent renewable energy company with over 16 GW project portfolio and the expertise to develop, engineer, construct, finance, and operate projects around the globe and prior to that Group Finance Director of Biwater Plc, an international water utility and construction group.

Mehdi Ben Abdallah

Senior Advisor

Mehdi is a Senior executive with almost two decades in the Energy Sector and in International Trade and Commercial Diplomacy. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Excalibur International Advisory (EXIA), and previously served as General Manager with Shell and Vice-President with BG Group in Tunisia.

President of the Tunisian-British Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce in London and the American Chamber of Commerce in Tunisia, he is also the former Executive Director in charge of International Relations at UTICA.

Mohamed Halila

Head of Generation

Over 11 years of professional experience in the Tunisian energy sector with 7 years’ experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency. Mohamed spent 4 years with Ansaldo/SNC Lavalin in the building, commissioning and maintenance of STEGs 420 MW combined cycle power plant leading the mechanical commissioning department.

Following this he worked or three years at STEG ER responsible of site and environment studies for renewable energy projects on behalf of STEG and the private sector.

Zeid Barhoumi

Head of Transmission

With experience of over 20 years in the HV substations design delivery and technical project management with ALSTOM T&D, AREVA T&D. with an international experience for more than 12 years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Tunisia.

During this time Zeid has been involved in the design and construction multiple STEG HV substations. Most recently worked on $20 billion Riyadh metro project with ALSTOM Transport as power supply engineering manager.

Ali Kanzari

Senior Advisor Tunisia

Dr. Kanzari is a Senior Energy Specialist with over 30 years of experience in the sector in Tunisia, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Maghreb, and Chad. He has managed programs for public and private sector clients including the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the Department of Renewable Energy in Tunisia, the NIRAS (Finland), and numerous private clients.

Dr Kanzari serves as President of the association Professional of Photovoltaic Integrators, and has contributed in the development of legislation and decrees touching the sector.

Mattia Riccardo Petrillo

Senior Advisor Italy

With over 16 years of experience in the energy law sector with GOP and EY Italy, he assisted the main industrial operators and investors in the energy and natural resources market, with specific reference to corporate, contractual and regulatory profiles.

He also developed consolidated experience in the commodity trading sector as well as in the structuring and implementation of industrial projects on a “cross-border” basis including the Trans Med pipeline between Algeria, Tunisia and Italy

Vincenzo Cavallo

Senior Advisor Italy

Vincenzo has over 15+ years active in international renewable energy.

Currently Managing Partner of SCS Ingegneria whose clients include Enel Green Power, Enerray, Progetti International, First Solar, Abengoa Solar, HFV.

Ameni Bouafif

Administrative & Financial Officer

Ameni joined TuNur in 2018. She previously worked as Administrative and Financial Officer for 5 years with Anadarko Tunisia; a subsidiary of the American Petroleum Company Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.

Achraf Smaoui

Junior Business Developer

Renewable energy engineer with focus on generation and transmission modelling and cost analysis.

Alastair Zammit

Director
